To talk about democratic
power, one of the biggest events in human history for enacting democracy is
Occupy Wall Street. This is an ongoing event that merits close attention. The
action of protest has been activated in a non-violent way and did not necessarily
claim a septic situation. People were using their power to address the
injustices of the society. The action of Occupy is not just a national issue;
it is a global issue now. We as human being need to speak on ourselves for the
idea of democracy.
I like to see the relationship between the performer and people in the suits at the back.
The sign is saying "No more corruption"
I am curious more about your specific perspectives on the occupy movement. Have you participated in any of the protests here in Chicago? Do you believe in all that the Occupy movement has been pursuing?
ReplyDeleteI participated as an observer of the event. In my society, there was a period of political oppression that people are forbidden to talk about politics. Therefore, since my parents generation, people were forced to ignore political issue especially participate in such event. However, I feel Taiwanese people are the most political activist nation in Asia.
ReplyDeleteI value the Occupy movement as human precious action for democratic and human rights, people have to know they have the power, as strong as the authority. Once people realize they it, the dominant system will no longer operate the society.
