The interrupters-a film by Steve James and Alex Kotlowitz: 2hr
This
movie talks about the moving and stories of three Violence Interrupters who try
to protect their Chicago communities from the violence they once employed. The
gang power is one of the most difficult social issues in Chicago. When people
no longer were able to protected by the policing system, they have to save
themselves. People in certain community have united together to protect their
safety. The power between the policing and gang were equally strong to people,
and the people were in the relationship of oppressor and being oppressed. The
violation of society can be ceased by education and communication. People who
were in the gang party turn into helping their own community, and realize the
problem of the society is people need to be educated and guided. From self to
the whole community, the power of people cannot underestimate. People care and
love their community, therefore, working for better quality living and
educating people to respect other from the street because they should be value
equally as human beings.
